46th Annual Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon

The Bird-A-Thon takes place September 15 – October 15, 2024. It is a high point of our year and an opportunity to connect with fellow birders, nature enthusiasts, scientists, and conservationists.

As a participant in the country’s longest running Bird-A-Thon, you’ll be supporting Point Blue's work since our founding in 1965 to conserve birds, other wildlife, and ecosystems through science, partnership, and outreach. With our partners, we create climate-smart, multiple-benefit solutions to environmental problems in California and beyond with a focus on climate change.

After 56 years of continuous presence on the Farallon Islands, Point Blue’s research and monitoring program on the islands is in jeopardy. Citing budgetary constraints the USFWS has notified Point Blue that it will end support in 2025.
